GRN, Inward & Outward Specialist (Tally)

Role Summary

The GRN, Inward & Outward Documentation Specialist isresponsible for ensuring accurate and efficient documentation of goods received(GRN), inward, and outward processes using Tally. This role ensures compliancewith inventory management standards and maintains accurate records for auditand reporting purposes.

 Key Responsibilities

1. GRN (Goods Receipt Note) Documentation
   • Create accurate GRN entries inTally for all received materials.
   • Verify goods against PurchaseOrders (POs) for quantity and specifications.
   • Address any discrepancies orissues with suppliers in coordination with the procurement team.
2. Inward Documentation
   • Record all inward material entries in Tally,ensuring alignment with BOM and inventory needs.
   • Ensure proper classification and tagging ofreceived goods in the system.
   • Maintain physical and digital documentationfor audit purposes.
3. Outward Documentation
   • Prepare and record dispatch documents (e.g.,delivery challans, invoices) in Tally.
   • Ensure all dispatches are documentedaccurately against sales orders or internal requests.
   • Track and report on the status of outwardshipments to stakeholders.
4. Compliance and Audit Readiness
   • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records inTally for GRN, inward, and outward transactions.
   • Ensure compliance with statutory requirementsand company policies for documentation.
   • Provide necessary records and support duringinternal or external audits.
5. Coordination and Reporting
   • Liaise with warehouse, production, and accounts teams to ensure seamless flow ofinformation.
   • Generate periodicreports from Tally for management review (e.g.,inward/outward summaries, GRN status).

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Diploma/Degree inCommerce, Logistics, or a related field.
• Experience: 2–3 years in GRN andinventory documentation using Tally ERP 9 or Tally Prime.
• Proficiency in Tally ERP 9/TallyPrime for inventory management.
• Strong attention to detail andorganizational skills.
• Knowledge of statutoryrequirements related to inventory and dispatch processes.
• Effective communication andproblem-solving abilities.
